TAG Heuer and Porsche Launch The Ultimate Chronograph
Fast cars and stylish watches. Two things that are engraved in a man's heart. And let it just be that these two men's things have found each other. Luxury watchmaker TAG Heuer and German sports car manufacturer Porsche are launching a brutal collaboration this month: the TAG Heuer Carrera Porsche Chronograph.
TAG Heuer and Porsche are a ' Match made in heaven'
Both brands are not averse to things that happen quickly, so they speak of a match made in heaven. That bodes well, but first see then believe. At first glance, the watch radiates precision and performance. And is inspired by the Carrera PanAmericana road race in Mexico.
Carrera twice
When you realize that both brands have shared the iconic name ' Carrera ' for generations , the question arises: 'Why didn't these two brands join forces before?' Even these two brands cannot change the past, but the present can. The iconic collaboration is finally a fact. Producing a brand new chronograph is a milestone that both Porsche and TAG Heuer are proud of. They provide a glimpse of what they can all achieve together.

A true Porsche on your wrist
The result is therefore horrifying. Porsche takes an earlier Carrera Sport Chronograph design and gives it a completely different look and feel . Where both brands are combined in the design of the watch. As with the Carrera Sport Chronograph , the Carrera Porsche combines elements common to many modern and much-loved chronographs.
TAG Heuer uses elements that go well with the Porsche theme. The dial, for example, has a crown that looks like the steering wheel of a Porsche. The font used is also the same as the dashboard of the current Porsche 911. You can also see the Porsche Design engraved on the edge. And of course the Porsche colors (red, black and gray) should not be missing. But our favorite feature is the asphalt effect on the dial.

Inside the watch is a Caliber Heuer 02 movement with an impressive 80-hour power reserve. Which means it takes 80 hours for the watch to be rewound. Each watch is delivered in a custom packaging. In addition, the TAG Heuer Carrera Porsche Chronograph is available in a luxurious calfskin finish that resembles the Porsche interior. Or you go for a link band that looks just as sleek as the Porsche 911.
While the two brands have only just taken off the starting line, the race is already off to a good start. We can't wait to see what else this new romance has in store in the world of watches.
